An independent "mystery shopper" survey of Christchurch taxi companies by Field Connection has found that First Direct's fares are the lowest of all the companies they tried. The survey compared fares from Christchurch Airport to the corner of Hereford and Colombo Streets. There was a $12.00 spread across the companies tested with the most expensive fare 35.5% higher than a standard First Direct car. Details of the survey are below:
